LONDON POST #11: 10 MONTH UPDATE: BECOMING PATRIOTIC

Friday, 29 July 2016

THIS month was super busy with final assessment week, and my mum visiting for my 21st birthday. (It was the best day ever over at the Harry Potter Studios!) However, I've also had numerous moments out in the sun at the park where I've been reflecting on all that I have learnt. Whilst having a lovely conversation with a Swede friend of mine from college, we got to discussing the teaching of history and culture at school. I decided to write this post and dedicate it to how I have come to appreciate my home country like never before since moving to London, and how thankful I am for all those (boring) history lessons.

LONDON POST #10 - 9 MONTH UPDATE: THE TRUTH ABOUT VISITING HOME

Saturday, 9 July 2016

IF I had to describe this past month using one word it would have to be crazy! So many assessments and assignments were taken and handed in. Thankfully that is now over and done with and I have now started my holidays. During my ninth month in London I visited home for the second time since I moved, so I thought of dedicating this post to sharing my experience with home visits.
