THE month of January has been the most interesting and emotional so far. I got to visit my home country and see my family after 4 months away. Term 2 at school kicked off and I experienced snow for the very first time in my life. That's right. At 20 years old I got to see and touch snow! I also got to meet two YouTubers I watch: Bry and Candice. Here's how it all went down...
As I mentioned in my previous posts, due to work commitments, I had to spend my Christmas here in London. Therefore, the visit to Malta had to be delayed to after Christmas. It wasn't a long stay, just a weekend. A hectic one. I was barely home since I had to juggle meeting so many people in so little time. Thankfully I managed to see everyone I needed to see. Especially my family, most importantly by baby cousin! I was thrilled to finally meet the new addition to the family at two months old. She is the cutest baby, very quiet too. It was great to see all my family and friends again. However, I must admit that it did feel strange to be back in Malta, driving around the streets that are ever so different that the ones in London. I was a tourist in my own country for the very first time. Due to the nature of my short stay, I had no time to fully take it all in. My room suddenly seemed so much bigger and it felt weird being in the house I lived in for 20 years. I guess I got so used to my life here in London that I forgot how to do simple necessities back home.

I'm sure it will be better next time I visit. I ate so much during my stay, and I've realised how much I've missed my Grandma's food! Goodbyes were a little but easier this time around. I hope that they will keep getting better with more visits.
This month also saw me starting off Term 2 at school. I cannot believe how fast the weeks are passing by! Almost not enough time to take everything in! As I've done in past months, I visited my friends up in Watford a few times. I enjoy visiting them, and on one of the weekends I spent there I got to see and experience snow for the very first time in my 20 years of life! Yep! I've always wanted to experience it first hand but I've never been lucky. Thankfully, it decided to snow and it was beautiful. Woke up the next morning to a lovely view of the streets covered in a blanket of snow. My bestfriend even walked inside with a snowball in the morning.
During my 5th month in London, we've been blessed with some pretty sunny weather as well. I love it when the sun comes out. It's the perfect weather for me. Not hot yet still get an appearance from the sun. This is the month I started eating in a more healthy manner. By healthy I mean, reduced the intake of chocolate and unhealthy snacks, and replaced them with fruit and snackbars.

That's it for this month. It was rather busy and full of first times. Until next month!
