12 months have passed by and as 2016 begins, it is time to look back one last time to what made 2015 the most challenging and amazing year of my life! It involved a lot of growth and new things being thrown at me… but it shaped up to be one of those years I’ll keep telling my future grandchildren about.

Got to celebrate the welcome of 2016 in London!

I can easily sum up the first quarter of 2015 - work, work, and more work! I was nearing the end of my gap year therefore I spent a lot of time at work. Moreover, I flew to London a couple of times for good reasons. The first was the all-important audition to my number one Uni choice - BIMM! If you’ve been following this blog or my social media platforms, you’d have noticed I’m a student at that school now. I’m so very happy I was accepted a few months later and this begun a life changing journey.

2015 saw me following two more workshops that I’ve enjoyed thoroughly. The first was A Week In The Life by DLS Productions. This saw me working with industry experienced people such as Ann Marie Speed and Mary Hammond. I continued to grow and learn and enjoy a week of Musical Theatre with great company. The second workshop was later in the year, Ultimate Artists. This one had me singing and experience first hand what it my upcoming year of school was to entail. I cannot begin to express how much this has helped me throughout my first few weeks at BIMM. I felt more confident and ready for challenges! Most importantly, I got to perform with a live band. (A more informative post about UA 2015 within next month!)

Furthermore, the year had a few duller, bittersweet moments. My last day at work was such an emotional one. It was hard to leave a place I called home for almost two years. A place where I was challenged in and grew personally and professionally. I got so many opportunities via this part time job and I could not be more grateful! It gave me the boost I needed to finding a job quickly in London… and I couldn’t be happier!

The last few months in Malta were full of meeting up with people and enjoying every second of it. And packing. Lots of it! Did I mention stress? I was so relieved everything was coming together - such as securing a place to live and getting appointments for job interviews.

Ultimately, the biggest change and event of 2015 has got to be MOVING to London! It is something I have dreamt about since I was a little girl and to this day I cannot believe I’ve done it! I’ve been here almost 4 months now and I love it. Finding myself has made it easier here, and most of all I’m experiencing different things and meeting so many people! I feel cultured and the best part about it is that I’m sharing Malta’s culture with numerous friends I make and people I meet! There’s something special about talking about your native country and language. I cannot express the amount of pride I feel!

BIMM has so far been exceptional! 2015 saw me experience first term at my top uni choice and studying a course I never thought I’d have the opportunity to study! I’ve fallen in love with music all over again and I feel not only my voice but my confidence has improved massively! Without confidence I cannot expect any vocal or musical improvements! I’m happily at a place where I only dreamed of being confidence-wise! I’m believing in myself more and more and I think that has been a wonderful goal to achieve!

I think those have been my 2015 highlights. Needless to say there’s been lots of tears and laughter as any other year. It’s been a tough year all the same. None of the above mentioned were easy to experience. As fun as they sound they’ve been challenging… but that’s made me even prouder to have made it through! I would like to take this time to thank every single person who has helped to make 2015 the journey it’s been.
I’m hoping 2016 will be a year of productivity. That's my resolution! I have so much determination for these next two school terms and for working on my music. Moreover, I have a lot planned for this blog, so be sure to follow to be notified when I publish a new post! I promise more (music) posts! Monthly Music Blog will be back (for good) and some new stuff! 2016 is Fearless Heaven year!

Cheers to a prosperous 2016, everyone!
